Recipe: Borax Crystal Snowflakes

Boiling water - enough to fill your jar
1/3 cup borax per jar

pencil/pen
string/yarn
pipe cleaner

Directions:
1. Form your pipe cleaner into a snowflake shape (or whatever shape you desire).
2. Pour boiling water into your jar.
3. Stir in the borax, don't worry if it doesn't completely dissolve.
4. Attach your pipe cleaner to the pencil/pen with the string/yarn and suspend over jar, with your pipe cleaner submerged.
5.  Leave overnight or for a day or two.  You should have a nice crystal snowflake.  Any crystal formations left on the jar will come right off with a few jabs from a fork.

I found this recipe here.
