Summer Camp - Ants

Today was our ant day.  Always a great insect to learn about because you can pretty much always find them!  Ha.

Here are some of the activities we did...

Magnetic Ants -  The kiddos drew a favorite food on their paper plate, then with the help of a magnet their ant moved around the plate and devoured it.  Ha ha.  Below:  This ant is eating a quesadilla.
I stuck brads in an ant cut out and bought a pack of craft magnets.  I think next time we should add legs and antenna.

Egg Carton Ant - an classic, but always so cute!

Ant Clips - I did these with my older kiddos.  They required a bit of patience and teacher glue (hot glue).  But they turned out super cute.

Ant Dots - We used bingo paints (from the dollar store) to make our ants and some fabulous paint splooshes.  This was fun, easy and low maintenance.
