Valentines - Yarn Wrapped Hearts

This week I tried these yarn wrapped hearts with my fours.  I totally forgot to get a picture of their finished hearts (drat!).  But here is the set up. 

 I cut hearts out of cereal boxes, and then I simple tied a piece of yarn on and handed it over to the kiddos.  They got the knack of if fairly quickly.  Some kiddos liked to wrap it carefully so all the yarn was lined up in rows and others just wrapped any which way.  They also liked switching off colors.  This variegated yard was really fun to work with.
