Zz Week

Zip-a-dee-do-dah!  It's Zz week!

Zip Line - We did this for the learning station and the kiddos LOVED it, so they continued it through out free play over throughout the week.  They used yarn and tape to create zip lines all over the classroom.  So fun!

Snack - Zucchini Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins - The kiddos weren't too excited about the zucchini part ... most of them liked the muffins when they were all done though!

Zoom! - The kiddos drew race tracks and zoomed and zipped cars along them.  They also created stories to go with their race tracks.

Learning Station and Free Play - Zip Line - Back by popular request... I left out all our zip line stuff!  The kiddos also got to take home their own zip line robot so they can continue building zip lines at home!

Science - Exploding Ziplocs - Oh this was fun.  The kiddos immediately recognized the ingredients for volcanoes.  Ha!  I told them we were going to do the same thing but put it inside a ziploc!
Our first couple of tries we used a sandwich size ziploc.  Our bags got very turgid, but they didn't burst!  Drat!  So next we tried the snack sized ziploc and that was fabulous!  Pop!  I saw this on this blog: Here!  if you want to try it again at home!

Shoveling - I love it when the kiddos shovel the driveway for me!
