Ee Week!

Hello to letter Ee week!  As one mom said, "You'll learn everything this week!"

Circle Time - Eyeball Glasses! - How silly is this?!  We also worked on finger spelling Ee, and coming up with fabulous Ee words.

Feely Bag for Ee - Elephant, eyeball, envelope, emu, eraser, egg.

Tp Elephants - These turned out super cute. I saw this idea:  HERE

Science - Elephant Toothpaste - We made toothpaste for the elephants at the zoo!  Ok, not really!

This is all over the web, it's pretty simple and quick to do.  Here is the blog instructions I used:  HERE

Ee is for Exercise - We made an obstacle course in the backyard.  Once the kiddos finished running the course a few times, a few of them created their own course and made it trickier.

Halloween Decorations - It's beginning to look more and more like fall and Halloween.  The kiddos were surprised to find Mr. Bones on the back of the door and ghosts in the bushes!

Circle Time - Oviparous - Today we are focusing on eggs with our letter Ee.  Animals which lay eggs are called oviparous.  We collected some oviparous animals.

Science - Egg Anatomy Part 1 - We learned what makes up an egg.  Basic bits:  shell, 2 membranes, air space, albumen (white stuff), and the yolk.
I had the kiddos label their eggs.

Science - Egg Anatomy Part 2 - Now we test our knowledge on a real egg!

Raw Eggs ... They found the membranes and the air space...

Hard boiled eggs ... Again, they found the membranes and the air space.   Then they ate their egg, if they wanted.  We pulled out the egg slicer.

We made scrambled eggs for snack.
Egg letters!?  C and O!

Wobbly Eggs - Just for fun!  I hot glued a glass bead in the bottom of an egg.

The kiddos carried their wobbly egg around a bit.

Backyard - Abc Egg Hunt - The kiddos searched the yard for eggs with letters written on them.  Once they found one, they came back and stamped on their Abc card.

We (Heart) the Earth - The kiddos made a collage with an Earth and hearts.

Eggs and Eyeballs -

Preschool Bags - All in a row!  So fabulous!
