Learning Station - Hand Measuring

On Wednesday we printed our hands on these long strips of paper so we could measure with them today.  The kiddos were to choose 5 different items to measure.  On a paper they drew a picture of the item (I wrote the name) and then measured how many of their hands long it was, and wrote number.

One kiddo did not want to paint his hand, so we traced his instead. The kiddos measured all sorts of thing.  The smallest was the cannon ball from the pirate ship, it was only half a hand long.  The longest was the snake, it was 11 hands long!
