Bb Week

Welcome to a bright and bodacious Bb Week!

Feely Bag - Bb Week - Banana, blue bouncy ball, bee, bat, bird and bell.

Journal Time - Bb Week - band-aids, blue yarn, butterfly, embossed B, banana, bikes, butterflies.

Sign Language - Finger Spelling - We have been learning our letters and their signs all year long.  This kiddo is showing off his B, blue shirt and the polar bear on his shirt!

Embossing Seal - B - I got this cool gadget for Christmas and have been excited to use it during Bb week!  The kiddos used it in their journals today, then I left it out for extra fun.

Balloon Battle - The boys were super excited to bash each other with balloons.  So fun.

Bubble Wrap - So fun to pop!

Circle Teddy Bear - The kiddos glued the cuddly brown bears together.
 The 3 year old's bears..

Snack - Blueberry Bagels - Yum!  With berry cream cheese!

Bee Bs - Watch out!  There is a B in your kiddo's bag today!  Bzzzzz! The kiddos took their B for a buzz around the room.

Craft Stick Bracelets - Ms. Sara boiled craft sticks, then carefully scrunched them into cups to dry.  Once dry the kiddos had fabulous bracelets to decorate.  We figured they must be spy bracelets!  So buttons and knobs were drawn that had special powers to capture bad guys!
Kiddos showing me what all their buttons do...  These bracelets were a bit tricky to make and they come out funny shaped, but we had fun with them.  I saw them on this blog:  Here.

Snack - Banana Pudding - The kiddos made their own snack today.  They were great helpers as usual.

Science - What's Inside a Bean? - While we waited for the pudding to firm up, we had a question to solve.  Ms. Sara had soaked the beans overnight, so they were nice and soft to open.  The kiddos were surprised to discover baby bean plants waiting inside to grow!
We used lima and pinto beans.  We were surprised to see the seedling was bigger in the pinto bean!

Backyard - We were so excited to have sunshine today!  We played with our buckets and created mud!

Bubbles! - We enjoyed blowing beautiful bubbles today.  We were super excited when we caught two bubbles that formed a B!

Beautiful Blue Sky! - How fortuitous the sky was so blue on our Bb week!

Watercolor Painting - We decided the wall needed some color...
We also painted the grass and some pine cones.
Then we decided to paint our dinosaurs...
And then we ended up painting ourselves...

Shape Bus - Toddlers - The kiddos glued the shapes on their bus.  We chatted a bit about the shapes.  It would have been fun to have them draw people in the windows, but it wasn't happen' that day.  We did sing "Wheels on the Bus" though.

Free Play - Building towers (to karate kick down) and walls with cereal boxes.

Science - Snack - Bread Making - The kiddos did a wonderful job making wonderful, yummy bread!  We made the bread in baggies.  I found a fabulous recipe on this blog:  Here.
 Kneading...
Isn't our bread beautiful!  Time to bake it!
 All done!  They were delicious.

Backyard Again - Boxes - The kiddos were challenged to find a backyard treasure to go in their box.  They found:  sticks, pine cones, seeds, beads...

A Bit More Dinosaur Painting - So very fun!
