I called out a number and the kiddos ran to it.  They also ran to their age, to Ms. Sara's favorite number ...

Learning Station - Yahtzee

The kiddos were playing against themselves, they just needed to roll every number, 1 - 12.  Once they got a number, they crossed it off.

Learning Station - Numeral Match

This was a great activity for counting and for putting numerals together with their name.
This was a good activity to see if kiddos know their numerals and to check with basic counting.

Learning Station - Toss

The kiddos tossed a tinfoil ball into my muffin tin.  When they landed in a cup, they told me what number or letter they found inside, then kept going until they had identified them all with a toss!

Learning Station - Hide and Seek Numbers

Ms. Sara hid numbers (#10-30) around the room.  The kiddos worked together to find them all and then put them in order.  I am hoping to help them see that numbers have a pattern.

Learning Station - Robot Button Count

The kiddos chose dominoes to put on their robots.  Then they counted each robot's dots and replaced it's domino with a paper that they wrote the numeral on.

Learning Station - Circle Counting

Always good to brush up on our counting skills.  These circle counters were donated to me, they're fabulous.
Ms. Sara:  "Wow.  You are a great counter!"
Kiddo:  "Yeah, it's because I've been counting for years."

Learning Station - Count and Match

Working on our counting and numeral recognition skills.  We were working between 11 and 25 today.  The teens seem to trick up most kiddos so this was good one on one practice with me.  The younger kiddos worked between 1 and 10.
I got this great idea on this blog:  Here!

Learning Station - Pirate Treasure Counting

Easy peasy and so fun to count treasure!  Arrgh!  The kiddos counted out button treasure.  I also had them identify the numerals.
One kiddo enjoyed working with the buttons so much, I pulled out this box for her to fill with buttons too.

Learning Station - Pumpkin Count

Working with counting and numerals today.  I found these cute pumpkins yesterday at Target and knew just what to do with them!  The kiddos counted the correct number of pumpkins for each numeral.

The fabulous magnetic numbers were from Target summer dollar aisle.

Learning Station - Numeral Game

The kiddos rolled their die, counted up the dots and then found the numbered card that matched!  Then they rolled again...

Great practice with counting and a chance to see where the kiddos are at on their numeral recognition.

Learning Station - Domino Addition

This was great fun and it took some extra brain power.  The kiddos picked a domino, drew the dots, and then the matching numeral and finally they added it all together.
Different skill levels with the different ages in the preschool class, but they all did great!

Learning Station - Number Run Game

We did our learning station outside this morning.  The kiddos first ran the numbers in order and jumped over them.  That was just for fun.

Then I pulled out cards with stickers on them.  They counted the stickers then ran out to find the matching numeral in the yard and clipped the sticker card to it and ran back for a new one.
