Learning Station - Oo Writing
The kiddos were challenged to write as many Oos in this big O that they could...
This kiddo was ambitious, although his Oos got larger and larger...
I saw this simple, but fun idea on this blog: Here!

Learning Station - X Words
The letter Xx, as you know, is a bit low in the word department. So we
practiced writing words that have an Xx in them. The kiddos did a
wonderful job!

Learning Station - Tag Writing and Present Wrapping
Don't look too closely moms! The kiddos wrote out the tag for your gift, then I helped them wrap it. Wonderful fine motor and name writing practice.

Learning Station - Chinese Writing
While the Chinese do not have an alphabet like ours, I found a pseudo
alphabet that gave the kiddos the chance to "write" their name in
Chinese.
I am sorry, I neglected to grab the website information of where I found the alphabet.

Pumpkin Science
This week we are learning about pumpkins.
Each kiddo got a special pumpkin science journal. First we measured around our pumpkins with a length of string, then matched the string up on a yard stick to find how many inches around (circumference) our pumpkins are. Next we weighed our pumpkins on a scale. We also did an experiment to see if pumpkins sink or float. After making our predictions we found that pumpkins float!

Work Order Booklet
Today one of my four year old kiddos discovered them in the writing center. She had a blast taking our food orders. I was a bit disappointed when she told me they were all out of french fries. Drat. I had to settle with ice cream for my dinner. Ha.

Writting
In my apron pocket, I carry a small notebook and pen
so I can quickly write down the kiddo's phrases and what not. Well, I
whipped it out to write down a comment and this cutie-pie
saw it and got quite excited about it. She asked if she could write in
it. I told her sure and handed it and my pen to her and off she went.
Such great early writing skills! Ha! Here writing looks better than mine!

Salt Letters
I poured some salt in a round cake pan so the kiddos could practice writing letters. A gentle shake, side to side clears the salt for the next letter.
