Pirate Pictures - Each kiddo got an eye patch and their treasure map. Here are Ms. Sara's fabulous new pirate socks.
One kiddo had these wonderful jeweled shoes on. We decided pirates would definitely like these shoes!
Treasure - Thar be gold! The kiddos followed their maps to find their treasure box. The map is of our preschool, the box is from Dial soap. I purposely buy Dial soap so I can have these wonderful boxes for projects. I hot glued a bead on top to facilitate opening the treasure box.
For the toddlers, their treasure is goldfish crackers.
The rest of the kiddos got plastic gold coins and jewels (beads).
Journal Time - Hook Hand - The kiddos had a hook hand equipped with a crayon to write in their journals with!
Spy Glass -
Free Play - Treasure chest, pirate ship (over turned table), and a hug map to boot!
Maps! - A pirate needs a good map!
Pet Parrot - Our pirates needed a parrot. These turned out super cute. I hope you enjoy them at home! I found these cute parrots on this blog: Here!
Balloon Swords - A pirate needs a good sword. The kiddos enjoyed epic sword battles... Ha! The kiddo with the green sword asked for a mustache in addition to his pirate scar.
The kiddos employed static electricity to store their swords during snack time.
Journal Time - The kiddos glued pancakes into their journals in preparation for our pancake party! Yum!
Pancake Manor - Pancake Party - Our favorite snack time singing group is Pancake Manor (YouTube) and they sing a wonderful song about pancakes.
Here they are all decorated!
Here are pouches from the youngsters class...
Backyard Painting - We're always looking for a new canvas to paint on in the backyard. Today we painted on the metal cans.
On Friday, there was a change in the weather, as we were heading inside to start preschool a kiddo told me: "I suggested we go inside because we could get frostbite." Not quite that cold today, but after our 90 degree weather earlier in the week, I can understand his concern.
Kiddo: "Earth is always spinning. But I don't hear it or feel it. But it's always spinning." Right you are!
I told the kiddos that Saturn is my favorite planet. They began telling me their favorites as well...
Kiddo: "I love all the planets. Even Peru!"
Here they are! I wanted to make one too, mine is the far left.
I got this fabulous idea on this blog: Here!
