Learning Station - Milk Lid Color Sort
Great time talking about colors and trying to match them. And milk lids are fun to play with too!
Mm Week
Mm Clothing - Some Mickey Mouses, a Ms. Sara shirt...
Marshmallows - We munched marshmallows!
Moon Art - Painting - Day 1 - The kiddos did some texture painted of a moon today. Once it dries it will become part of larger piece of art. I mixed some flour into our paint to give it some texture. I think I should have added more flour because we couldn't quite get craters in it.
Moon Art - Day 2 - Today we created stars from glow in the dark paint by flicking paint with a toothbrush. Once dry we glued on our moon and added some space stickers.
Mummies - We chatted about mummies a bit. How they aren't real (the ones in movies that walk around) but they are real and they can see some in museums.
The 3 year olds used masking tape instead of strips of paper:
Microphone - As soon as I handed them their microphones they started singing into them! It was great! Once they decorated them we put on some tunes to sing with. And the kiddos "needed" a stage, so they were quite pleased to hop up on the table to sing.

Science - Floating M - Oh wow, this was cool! We put our M&Ms in the water, m side up. We let them sit for a while and after the color mostly came off, so did the M! Some kiddos sorted theirs by colors, some just dumped them all in one.

Snack - Minion Mac and Cheese - A very Mm snack!!
Milkshakes - Oh yum!
Milk makes the best bubbles!
Melting Snow - The kiddos were delighted to demolish the slushy pathway walls and slide. They left the snow cave untouched, as that is Mr. Adam's pride and joy, ha! And we want to see how far into March we can get with it!
Journal Time - Mom - I had the kiddos draw a picture of their mom and write mom in their journals today.
Mm Clothing - Moon and a meteor and "meow"! And the kiddo in the background had on a snowMen shirt!

Mustaches and a Mirror - Ah! I love these kiddos with their 'staches! I especially love it when they leave them on for a while! Ha! And you have to have a mirror to see how fabulous you look!

Learning Station - Matching Pairs
The kiddos matched pairs: upper and lowercase letters, numbers and
dots. It would have been fun to match names and classmate
pictures...perhaps we'll have to do this one again!

Tasty! The kiddos drew an M on their paper, then set to work gluing. For the younger kiddos, I drew the M for them. These are still a work in progress, I neglected to get finished pictures, drat.

Mm Week...
Journal Time - Mom - The kiddos drew a picture of their Mom!

Snack - Chocolate Milk - Yum! The kiddos love to blow bubbles in their water, so today when they started up, they found an amazing discovery!
Huge, fabulous bubbles!
Graphing - M&Ms - What a yummy way to check out graphing. First the kiddos estimated (smart guess) how many M&Ms they had. Then they counted them, and they graphed them. Then finally they got to eat them!
Curvy Craft Stick Mermaids and Mermen - So fun! The kiddos added all the needed bits.
The ladies were super excited about the jewels for their mermaid's shells. I had intended the jewels for decoration on their tails. Ha! We also tried braiding a mermaid's hair.
Dish Washer Monsters - The kiddos were admiring the large monster I made for the learning station. They asked if they could make one too. I dug around in the closet and emptied the dw soap container from upstairs and we had just enough!
I loved the creativity and personality the kiddos gave their monsters!
Feeding the Monsters - As the kiddos finished their monsters, they began feeding them all sorts of items from the classroom!
Snack - Muffins & Milkshakes - Oh yum! Our milkshakes were just ice cream and milk in the blender, but they were tasty!
Science - Mummies - We looked at a few pictures of real mummies and briefly talked about what they are. We also talked about real mummies verses pretend ones. Then we decided to turn a few toys into mummies.
Kiddo Mummification - The kiddos asked if they could become mummies ... sure!
Tape Mummy - The kiddos used tape as wrappings for this mummy.
So cute!
Go Away Big Green Monster! - The kiddos have been LOVING this book this week, so I figured we should make a big green monster of our own.
Slushy Snow - This kiddo was loving stomping on the slushy snow. He was also wondering why some of the snow was a different color, so we talked about how snow changes as it melts... And then we went right on stomping.
Big Green Monster - Toddlers - I love it when one of the little ones will pull out a book to read during play time. Then before we know it all our little friends have joined us. Yeah for reading together!
Magnetic wands - The kiddos enjoyed playing with the magnetic wands and found that they push and pull against each other. Awesome observation!
Moon Phases - Using the globe and a ball, we talked about how the moon moves around the earth and how the sun shines on it and makes it glow. As the moon moves around us we get the different phases of the moon ...
Then we made a fold out. Now the kiddos can look at the moon and use their fold out to tell you what phase the moon is in. Cool, huh!

Oreo Moon Phases - Then we decided to try out our new knowledge on some Oreos ... tasty science.

Snack - Macaroni and Cheese - Yum!
Movie - While eating snack we watched my favorite: There is a Monster at the end of this Book. We read it during circle time.
Marble Run - Oh this was a hit!
Science - Colored Milk - We
tried something a bit zany today. We dropped food coloring in milk,
then added a drop of dish soap and wow! The color scattered! So cool.
