Summer Camp - Dinosaurs
Roooar! It's dinosaur time!
Plastic Dinosaurs - Each kiddo got to pick out a dinosaur. I found these for $1 each at Walmart, in the toy section.
Dinosaur Shirts - A couple of kiddos came decked out and ready for the day ...
Fossilized Dinosaur Eggs - First off we cracked open some ancient eggs to find our very own dinosaur pets!
Dinosaur egg recipes: Here! and Here! and Here! and post: Here!
Dinosaur Caves - We decided our little dinosaur pets needed a safe home. We created a cave as well as a habitat around it that provided water and food for our pet. One kiddo drew a hamburger for his dinosaurs to eat.
I used Dial soap boxes. I buy this kind of soap because it comes in these fabulous boxes!
Dinosaurs Meet Pirates - I'm not sure who won this battle, but it was epic.
Frozen Volcanoes - If you're going to do dinosaurs, you have to include a volcano or two. The kiddos added lava (vinegar) to their (baking soda) volcanoes.
I added enough water to baking soda to create a dough that would form, then hand formed these mini volcanoes, and put them in the freezer. The kiddos used vinegar (dyed with food coloring) for lava. I got the idea from this blog: Here!
Snack - Dinosaur Eggs - Rice Krispie treats with about 8 crushed Oreos formed into eggs. Especially tasty.
Water Play - Always a favorite.
Dinosaur Mud - Chocolate Soap Foam - Ms. Sara created soapy mud for the dinosaurs to play in.
Easy clean up. I got the idea on this blog: Here!
The trucks came out to play and I made several more batches of soap foam, but just used food coloring instead of the cocoa powder.
Jello Tar Pits - Oh No! - There are dinosaurs trapped! We must free them, but how? Grab a spoon...
The kiddos LOVED this. They ate the Jello for a bit, then just had fun scooping and stomping and etc. I saw this idea on this blog: Here!
