Learning Station - Fall "Leaves"

The kiddos used their fine motor skills to put "leaves" (buttons) on our pipe cleaner trees.
I saw this great idea on this blog:  Here!

Learning Station - Punched Christmas Trees

I had punched out all these trees with no real intention.  So today I scattered them, as well as the negative space of them, on the table with glue sticks and glitter glue and let the kiddos create a collage.  I love how some kiddos put trees back into the negative space.

Clasroom Tree - Spring

I finally got around to adding a bit of spring to our classroom tree.

In this part of the country we are just barely getting buds on the trees.  I am excited to put leaves on soon!

Classroom Tree - Spring

A couple of weeks ago, I took down our class snowman by the our tree and the kiddos helped me add a bit of grass poking out of the snow.  It helped with the winter blues to see a bit of green poking out, even if it was just inside and paper.

Even though it is still snowing outside today, yesterday was the first day of spring.  So the kiddos helped me add flowers to our classroom tree today.

Classroom Tree

The weather has begun to warm up here (upper 40s).  So I took down our snowman and decided to add a few blades of grass to the snow.  To give us hope that spring will come.  Ha!  I'm looking forward to creating a full on spring tree...
