Aa Week

Welcome to our awesome, amazing Aa week!

Astronaut and Astronomy - The kiddos drew their face in the astronaut helmet, then created an astronomy scene - pretending they were floating in space.

Moon Walk - We taped egg cartons to the bottoms of their shoes and then sent them off on a moon walk through the classroom.  During snack we had watched some videos of astronauts walking on the moon and working in the space station.

Rocket Ship - The kiddos were blasting off ...

Sunshine and Chalk - So lovely to be outside again!

Circle Time - Airplane - When the kiddos arrived at preschool today, they got an airline ticket.  They used their ticket to find their correct seat and enjoyed some inflight munchies.  The inflight movie was a book or two.

Clothes Pin Airplanes - The kiddos painted their little planes.

Happy First Day of Spring!!!! - Our snow cave made it to spring!

Science - Parts of an Apple - We talked about all the parts of an apple that we eat and do not eat.  We glued our apple together, and then labeled it.

Learning Station - Adding Sticks

Learning Station - Adding Sticks - The kiddos counted out sticks to match the domino, then added all the sticks together!

Learning Station - Airplane Folding

I taught the kiddos how to fold a simple airplane.  A couple kiddos showed me how they fold airplanes.  Cool!  The kiddos flew their airplanes together to see how far they could get them.

The toddlers enjoyed simply throwing paper airplanes.

Learning Station - Penny Pick Up - Astronauts

This was HARD!  The kiddos put on Mr. Adam's BIG snow gloves to pretend they were astronauts and then they tried to pick up pennies!  It was fun to see the strategies they came up with and how they helped each other.

Aa Week

Clothes Pin Alligators - The kiddos painted these cute alligator friends.

Snack - Aa - Apples (with carmel or peanut butter), Apple Jack cereal ...

Alligator Aa's - Ha!  These turned out super funny and cute.  The A was meant to be turned on it's side with it's alligator mouth opened wide.  Ha, but instead we got these cuties ...

Here's how the Youngster's turned out.  For them I cut the A out and glued it on colored paper.

Dyeing Snow - It was warmish outside and there was so much beautiful, untouched snow out there, we decided to fix that...  (Just food coloring and water).

Circle Time - Apples Up On Top - We decided to give it a try...
Image result for 10 apples up on top

Mini Apple Pies - Oh yum!  We did these last year and they were so tasty, so I was easily talked into them again.  Ha!

Apples on Top - Ha!  We had extra photos from our zip line robots, so we used them to stack apple on.

Pigtails and Snow - So cute!

Ant Hill - The kiddos added raisin ants to their sand paper ant hills.
I saw this idea on this blog:  Here!

Learning Station - Airplane Directions

Learning Station - Airplane Directions - The kiddos put on the pilot's head gear, picked a plane and then listened for directions:  "fly your plane upstairs and back down", "fly your plane under the table", "fly your plane in a circle" ....

Painting Airplanes - After the kiddos followed all their airplane directions, the last was to fly over to the table and paint them.

I saw the idea for constructing these airplanes on this blog:  Here!
