Ss Week

Welcome to our silly Ss week!

Snow Cave!!! - It's finally carved out!  Thank you Mr. Adam!
Snow Plow!!! - So awesome!
Checking out the ice in the down spout.

Ss Clothing - Stripes, sunshine, Ms. Sara's, sparkles, socks...

Coffee Filter Snowflakes - Great cutting practice!  Snip, snip, snip!  We also used cupcake liners.

Dyeing the Snow Cave - Just food coloring a water...

Ss Clothing - Socks!  Superman socks and stripes!

Sugar Sprinkle Stamp Cookies - We made our dough and formed dough balls to chill for later!  We also rolled them in sprinkles!  Thank you to one of the kiddos for sharing their fabulous cookie stamps and sprinkles!!  So fun!  The cookie stamps are from Stampin' Up.

Tie Snakes - It was a bit tricky getting the batting into our snakes, but they are cute!  And they slithered all over the preschool.

Snowmen Globes - I saved this idea from Christmas so we could use it this week for snowmen.  The kiddos painted their hands and printed snowmen on the bulb.  Once dried they added fake snow and drew with Sharpie the faces on their snowmen.

Snack - Chocolate S - So tasty for our snack today!

Winter Fun

Pom Pom Polar Bears - First we created our polar bear...

Polar Bear Caves - ...Then we created our polar bear's home.  Delicious!  A great way to get rid of all that Christmas candy!

Tissue Box Building - Kind of like igloo building....

Shredded Paper Snow & Glitter - Oh so fun!
Maybe a bit too much fun!  We got it everywhere!

Tissue Box Building - Toddlers - We built towers and walls to knock down.  We also enjoyed kicking the tissue boxes, they fly very satisfyingly.

Dyeing The Snow - Always fun!  We were grateful to have a bit of sunshine to play in while we dyed the snow.  Just water with food coloring in squirt bottles.

Craft Stick Snowflakes - Painting - We haven't done much painting this school year so the kiddos really enjoyed painting....

Learning Station - Snowflake Cutting

Usually we use coffee filters for this, but today we used mini cupcake wrappers.  So perfect!  The kiddos LOVED making these mini snowflakes!  They worked extra time on them.

Christmas Week 2

Such great snow today!  Sorry it made it so some of our friends couldn't come.  No worries though!

Snow - Shoveling, tasting, playing...

Hot Cocoa and Snow Ice Cream - Yum! - Just need snow, sugar, vanilla and milk!  Stir, taste and adjust.  Yummers!
 Hot cocoa WITH marshmallows!
Snow melting experiments.  First on the table with fingers...
Then with hot cocoa!  The cocoa was a bit warm, so the kiddos added snow ice cream ... soon they had cooca slushies.  Ha!

Check out the backyard!

Pine Cone Tree - The kiddos merrily glued decorations on their mini trees.
I hot glued a milk jug cap on the bottom.

Big Nosed Reindeer - Here are a few of the youngster's reindeer.  Super cute!

More Snow Play -

Sugar Cookies - The long awaited day is here!  The kiddos were thrilled to be able to make, frost and eat cookies today.

Rectangle Wreaths - While our cookies baked and cooled, we made these fabulous wreaths.  I saw this great idea on this blog:  HERE.

For the toddlers, I used the smaller plates.

Frosting Cookies! - And tasting and decorating and tasting.  Yum!snack:  apple slices, pretzels and cookies!

Star Wars Buddies - A kiddo and I were excited to discover we both had our Star Wars shirts on for Star Wars day.  So cool.  (December 18, 2015)
