Crushing Chalk - We crushed chalk to create chalk paint. The kiddos gleefully used blocks to smash up the chalk.
Once our chalk was crushed, we added a bit of water and some glitter and we painted. We are going to use our paintings to create our solar system.
Backyard - A friendly game of Sorry and some planetary Oreos to munch.
Oh deer! - Ha. As we lined up at the gate, we found some deer hair that got stuck on the fence as they jumped over it. Cool.
Tp Rockets - The kiddos decorated their rockets, then we added flames and a nose cone. They got right to work and let their imagination and a full bin of tp rolls help them create fabulous rockets.
This tp rocket is crazy tall with tons of rocket boosters...
One kiddo added the Hobble Space Telescope in the orbit of Earth.
Flying Saucer Plates - These turned out better than I thought. The kiddos decorated them... Then flew them. Watch out! They really zoom! These are two sturdy paper plates stapled together.
Reading Space Books -
Space Pjs - This cutie pie wore his space jammies to class. Aren't they great!
Paper Plate Astronauts - Youngsters - I showed the kiddos some pictures of astronauts, then they created a self portrait, of sorts.
Solar System Collage - Using our chalk paintings from Monday we created these fabulous collages!
Go Alka Seltzer Rockets! -
Favorite YouTube Planet Song - We have listened to several, but this is by far our favorite. Click the link: HERE!
