Pumpkin Rolling - The kiddos greatly enjoyed rolling the mini pumpkins through the tube.
Here are our jars ... just gotta dry, then we'll add our jack-o-lantern faces.
Luminaries - These turned out wonderful! I found jack-o-lantern stickers at Hobby Lobby. We stuck them on then added a layer of Modge-podge over top. Popped a battery tea light in the bottom and taa daa!!
We turned off the lights and drew the curtains in our classroom so we could better admire our luminaries. They turned out great! We ate our snack by luminary light as well!
Mummy Hand Puppet - The kiddos added strips of tape to create cute mummies. A few kiddos even made ghost puppets.
Pumpkin Bath - The girls helped me fill up the bath buckets for our pumpkins.
Pumpkin Picking - The day is finally here! The kiddos were super jazzed about picking their pumpkin from Ms. Sara's pumpkin patch!
Pumpkin Wash and Drying - Gotta get them all cleaned up before we decorate them!
Pumpkin Guts - The kiddos, who were interested, helped me gut a few of our big pumpkins.
Pumpkin Mummies - Using masking tape, the kiddos mummified their pumpkins (to various degrees).
Flying Bats - The
kiddos painted their night time scene back on Monday. Today we
finished it up by adding a moon and our bat on a stick that can fly
through the night sky. -- The kiddos enjoyed this project, they liked that their bat could be flown around within the plate and without!
I got this cute idea from this blog: Here!
