Birthday Gifts

 I like to give a small gift for the kiddo's birthday, but not a toy.  I'm always looking for something to do with writing or drawing.

Here is what I decided to make/put together this year for my kiddos:

I bought these small notebooks at Walmart in a 4 pack for $ 0.88.  I used scraps from my scrapbooking supplies to decorate the covers with paper & each kiddo's initial, then sewed around them on my sewing machine.  Using the "back to school" sales, I found colorful high lighters and pencils, then grabbed up some glue and crayons.  Tucked everything into over sized envelops that were donated to the preschool and ta da!  Super cute!

Cost per gift:  $1.17!  Pretty amazing, huh!
