Space - Craters of the Moon

Looking at photographs of the Moon, we talked about the surface.  What it looks like, and how it might feel.  Then we stepped outside to do an experiment.

We felt the texture of our moon surface (flour), it was powdery and dusty - just like the surface of the Moon.  Then we threw large marshmallows into a shallow pan of flour to see how the craters on the Moon were created.
