Vv Week

Very big welcome to Vv week!

Circle Time - Feely Bag - This week I had to be a bit creative.  This is what I came up with:
Vegetable (carrots), Viking (Goofy), Violin, Vine, Valentine (Iron Man), and Van.

Veterinarian Bags - The kiddos needed some gear to aid them in their work as animal doctors.  First we made a bag.  This kiddo drew herself as a vet and a small cat she is helping.

It's just a recycled file folder with an added handle and a red cross.

Stethoscope - Pretty fancy!  These turned out super cute and were relatively quick to make.  I got the idea from HereI just got glued everything.

Felt Band-Aids - Super cute.  Great way to use up all my felt scraps.  Saw this idea:  Here.
Here they are, hard at work....

Snack - Bloody Band-Aids - Yuck, but yum!  Thanks pinterest!

Backyard - We had to get out and run around in this warm weather before it turns cold!  We were also super excited to see how many leaves had fallen in the backyard!  We finally have enough for a pile!

Flying Leaves - It was a bit windy today.  We were picking up leaves and letting them go in the wind.  They really zipped and twirled!

Circle Time - We watched and sang Ms. Sara's favorite:  "Lava" - the short at the beginning of "Inside Out".  While we watched (and sang) we talked about how volcanoes can grow up from the bottom of the ocean, but they can also grow on the land.  Some of the kiddos thought volcanoes were just during the time of dinosaurs.  Nope.

Journal Time - Look at their volcanoes!  So fabulous!

Painting Mini Volcanoes - We painted our volcanoes brown with a bit of red (lava) on the top.  We'll add baking soda and vinegar later...

Vegetable Painting - The kiddos enjoyed stamping with various veggies!  We talked about their seeds and how they grow.

Backyard Mini Volcanoes - The kiddos were super excited to see their volcanoes explode!  They didn't quite explode, but they did ooze out nicely.  There is a mini water bottle under the cups.

Journal Time - Valentines - Fortunately I found a friend with a box full of Avengers valentines.  It is surprisingly difficult to track down valentines in November.  The kiddos were super jazzed about these.

Van-Goes - This was Mr. Adam's when he was little.  (I had the fashion plate Barbie one.)  It was perfect for our last day of Vv week.

V for Vacuum! -  Tee hee!  These turned out super cute!  The kiddos wanted a cord for their vacuum, so we taped a piece of yarn on.  They also drew crumbs to vacuum up.  A few of them gave me detailed descriptions of their family vacuum and how theirs was different.  Ha.

Vacuuming - Now that we made a vacuum, we needed to try it out.  They did great, I hope you'll put them to work at home!

Vroom Hoops - Ms. Sara found these hoops in the packaging at Ikea (they were spacers between bowls) and brought them home for vrooming down the stairs.  They roll fabulously!  Down the stairs and with some finesse, across the floor too!

Vroom Car Tube - The younger kiddos loved this set up.
